How to Honor Your Body With Your Words

Often when we talk about honoring our bodies, it's by how we nourish it and how we move. And while we know these are in fact essential- it’s important to listen to your body to properly nourish it, and to find ways to move your body that bring you joy , it’s also equally important to honor our bodies through not only our thoughts, but our words.

Before we dive in- here’s just a small reminder that this might seem a little *woo woo-ey* but we urge you to stick with us, because these words can truly change your perspective on your body, and thus will truly have an impact on your inner relationship.

To honor your body with your words, you must change your thoughts and words to positive, uplifting language. Believe it or not, what you believe becomes your reality. Your words will be reflected not only in your beliefs, but in the strength of your body as well.  When you use affirmations, you are teaching your brain a new way to think about the world, or in this case, your body and health.

We challenge you to say these four affirmations on daily basis:

  1. I am on the way to the best version of me.

  2. I really do love and care about myself.

  3. I deserve to eat to nourish my body without guilt.

  4. I trust my body and that it knows what is best for me.

How powerful are these?! What if these words became your own thoughts? What if these felt like your reality? Would this change how you feel about your life, your body, your health?

Try journaling or speaking these affirmations on a daily basis and watch your relationship with your body change.
